hyper-pokemon on Hyper 2.0 update is not working properly
jesuskata opened this issue · 17 comments
Description
I have updated my Hyper Terminal on Windows 10 an hour ago and my hyper-pokemon plugin is now not working properly.
My installation is manually. I have created .hyper.js in my c:\Users\my-user and followed the instructions you have in your repo. Everything was workin all right before the update.
Environment
I have Windows 10 64 bit Version 1709
Additional Information
I have included one picture of the problem
I submitted the same issue and it was marked as 'closed' although the problem has not been resolved. It has been labeled as in progress.
New release supporting Hyper 2, is out : )
Thanks.
Now the hyper star wars and pokémon is working the right way.
How did you get it working correctly? Mine is still broken. :(
Hi Génesis,
It's just a matter of time. At first, it seemed that it still did not work, but after a few minutes, everything worked perfect.
Make the changes in the file .hyper.js and wait a while for the changes to be reflected in the hyper terminal.
Regards 👋
This still doesn't work for me, unfortunately. It keeps staying as Pikachu even though I'm setting it to something else like pokemon: 'alakazam'
(this is after the colors config too).
Mine isn't working still either. I uninstalled the plugin, reinstalled via CL, and made the necessary changes in .hyper.js. Still seeing the white canvas overlay the background.
Would you mind sharing your ~/.hyper.js
configurations?
Hi,
I don't know what's happening with your installations but, if it is usefull, this is my .hyper.js configuration:

// which will not automatically be merged into this file.

Thanks!
@jesuskata Your configuration works properly, you can try clicking the Update
> Plugins
option or try pressing Ctrl Shift U while inside your terminal, in order to update your plugins to the latest version.
Yes @klauscfhq, thanks.
My configuration is working fine. I shared my config with @genhernandez and @ryanhmaas in case it is useful for them.
BTW, thanks for the amazing work with hyper-pokemon.
Regards.
@ryanhmaas Try moving the pokemon: 'alakazam'
option inside of the config
object. All options should reside in that scope, otherwise the theme will not be able pick them up.
Here is how it could look like:

@jesuskata Happy to help out : )
@klauscfhq Thanks for the help, that was it. Don't know how I missed it but hey it happens lol. Again, I appreciate it!
@klauscfhq Here is my config file. I'm still seeing the white canvas when I open hyper.

I ended up removing the plugin and re-installing and now its fine. Not sure what changed, but it works :)
