example crashes in webkit browsers?

Cloned project and ran the example project, but it keeps crashing Chrome and Safari? To prove that I wasn't insane I tried this on a few other computers. No luck.

What's weird is that it works fine in Firefox? Finally I commented out the kss.js and the example 'works' in Chrome, but that is not a real solution.

Have a look at #48, I'm pretty sure you're experiencing the same problem.
