giving a window 1/4 of the screen makes it freeze

I am not sure if it's latte problem or active-window-control, but when I give any window quarter of the screen it freezes and no longer showing changes .. until I move it !
This has been orphaned for a long time. Try using applet-window-title/button/appmenu those are more recently updated.

I tried window title applet but it doesn't contain buttons( exit, minimize ..) in activewindowcontrol I used to work with them an hide the default ones for window so I can maximize my windows as big as possible !!

They are different applets.

Those packages need be installed through your package manager. Ask on your distro's forums, reddit...
I said: applet-window-title / button / appmenu.
All 3 are from the same maintainer and they seized maintenance in Summer 2022.
Window Button applet is actually not working with Plasma 5.26.90 and up.
