In the ReadMe you have mentioned that, Kubedash provides additional authentication. Could you provide some more information about this?

Hi @shilpapadgaonkar,
Kubedash handles in-cluster authentication with the Kubernetes API server in order to connect to the heapster service. The heapster API is then made available through Kubedash to the user, in order to avoid accessing two services from the user's browser.

This allows a user of Kubedash to expose the Kubedash service through an external IP/port pair, without also having to perform the same for the Heapster service.
