No Makefile found

There is not a Makefile to compile this project and build directory doesn't exists neither (I don't recommend to include build dir for arch reasons).

What is a Makefile and how does it work?.

What would be the purpose of it if the whole build process in Go is go build main.go?

My bad, I misunderstood, i didn't know "go" was a command and not a "suggestion" (go to build directory or something like that).
