Unable to get a list view in the GUI

In version 1.3.7 & 1.3.8 on the latest macOS the list views won't load and remain empty. This is the case for selecting a video file for playback, and for detecting types of features.

Actually, I think it's a general problem that TSPS is unable to access the 'data' folder. The interface doesn't show any of the images (tsps icon + background) that are embedded in the data folder.
