Silent auto update fails most of the time.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.We installed the app with silentautoupdate and we gave root permissionto the 
application by pressing reboot in the app.
2.We uploaded the new build to the server and updates got downloaded
3.We can see the app in the notification bar instead of updating it silently.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Update the app silently with out raising notification bar

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
We are using md5 based v 1.1(Not sure) and android 2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
Once its fails to update silently it never asking again the root permission to 
update silently.We are facing serious problems .Please suggest us a solution as 
soon as possible.
