Selectric overload the processor

I have a macbook from 2011 and I noticed that everytime that I used Safari specifically the tab with my Web application, the fans started to sound and after checking the performance of the processor, I noticed it increasing temp over than 90%. I spent one week reviewing instruction by instruction in my Js scripts and library by library used, upgrading all, until I found that using Selectric.js had problems

I dont know wheter using other libraries cause conflicts but it is too distressing that I had to stop using Selectric.js, All works fine in all browsers but always the procesor suffered.

Has anybody else noticed something similar?
