HERE security question

Thanks for this amazing plugin.
Can someone please explain, is it secure to pass app_id and app_code as parameters when I want to use HERE map? As I understand these parameters do not have a restriction by domain and can be used everywhere. And if I use them in client side code, which can be accessed by everyone ...
