Results not found due to case-sensitivity

Running e.g. xlocate libqt5dbus.so produces no results, whereas xlocate libQt5DBus.so does (qt5-dbus). Should searches be case-insensitive, or should there at least be an option to make searches case-insensitive? If so, i'd be happy to submit a PR for either.

I don't think so. locate(1) is also case sensitive.

Really sorry for necrobumping but could this be reconsidered? I can't find locate in Void repos but this man page lists a flag for case insensitive search. Another one.
