add a twitter widget on home page ?

@afh has offered to add a widget on the website to view recent #ledgercli tweets and post new ones. Eg on the home page as at http://imgur.com/ZLwQR4l . I'm +1 on this. The widget is tied to a twitter account for some reason, and he thinks it best to create the widget with the LedgerTips twitter account which I manage. If no-one else wants to (@jwiegley ?) I'll go ahead and make the widget code for @afh to use in his pull request.

A few more notes on our (the Ledger and ledger-like community's) Twitter presence. Currently,

  • #ledgercli is the "official" hash tag for tweets relating to Ledger
  • I also intended it, and I think we would still recommend it (?), for tweets about Ledger-likes such as hledger and Beancount
  • @LedgerTips is the unofficial account I started, open to all but so far updated by me, for tweeting tips about all the Ledger-likes (http://hledger.org/ledgertips.html).

Newcomers are already likely to experience a little confusion here. So I welcome any ideas to keep our branding clear and simple.

If you think LedgerTips should create the widget, here's the code:

<a class="twitter-timeline" data-dnt="true" href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ledgercli" data-widget-id="539507319734677504">#ledgercli Tweets</a>
<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+"://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

I'd use #ledgercli for things conceptual things, e.g. how to structure the transaction, how metadata can be used to reference electronic receipt files or calculate the VAT.

I'd add #ledger3, #hledger, #beancount if it was something specific for that implementation.

When people are in favour of this #13 has the necessary changes.

#ledger3 is a new suggestion - nice one (until version 4, anyway).

#hledger is no good, being owned by the deceased actor (RIP).
