Ukraine did not have 2100 tanks prior to invasion. You probably read the english wikipedia which also counts tanks that are on conservation and can not be restored quickly. This ukrainian language wiki page https://uk.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9E%D1%81%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%89%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BD%D1%8F_%D0%A1%D1%83%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%BF%D1%83%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%85_%D0%B2%D1%96%D0%B9%D1%81%D1%8C%D0%BA_%D0%A3%D0%BA%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%97%D0%BD%D0%B8 states 940 tanks prior to invasion; my sources directly from UA army clsimed they had 600-700 functioning tanks.
