This issues thread archives images intended for external display by front-facing README.md documentation and hence does not constitute a genuine issue. While this arguably constitutes a mild misuse of Github resources, Github currently supplies no saner means of effecting this. Conventional alternatives (e.g., Github Pages) all entail committing such images into the repository, requiring that repository cloning also unnecessarily download such images. Unacceptable.
Let's primly circumvent that, shall we?
