[Feature] Open in new tab & detect already open

Issue: If I have a tab open, I need to make a new tab, then run "Open Daily/Weekly/Monthly Note" if I want it in a new tab.
I'd love if there was a checkbox option in the plugin to "Open Periodic Notes in New Tab".
Also, if there's already that tab open, to switch to it instead of opening a new tab. Obsidian plugin "Hotkeys for Specific Files" has an option called "Prefer Existing Panes" so that functionality is already implemented in another plugin and might be easily ported into this.
This would be a great feature.
I use Keyboard Maestro to bring Obsidian to the foreground and run the command to open today's note. Lowering the friction of getting to the daily note via a single shortcut/streamdeck button is huge, but this means I don't know what the tab's content was before being switched to the daily note.
