Savestate Freezing

On the PC version (haven't tested any other platforms) of RetroArch (latest build, latest Mupen core), RetroArch will freeze almost every time I've tried to save a savestate. There seems to be no way out of the freeze other than closing RA. No other core gives me this issue. This has happened with Gauntlet and Banjo Kazooie. I haven't tested other games. It seems that saving a savestate not long after starting a game works fine, but playing a while, then saving causes a freeze. It seems easily replicatable by trying to savestate during the first Grunty cutscene at the beginning of Banjo Kazooie.

Oh, and it doesn't seem to matter if I use ParaLLEl/Gliden64 or ParaLLEl/HLE.
