Show imminent passes on lock screen

Hi, is it possible to add a feature that allow to show imminent events passes on lock screen? Like a notification that when tapped open the pass (without the needed to unlock the phone).
I noticed that this should be possible from Android 12.
I'm very interested in such a feature. Primarily I would be interested in having a notification when the start date/time is approaching (which is known in most cases). While searching the open issues, I noticed that a similar request exists and has been open for a while: #20. This notification could perhaps be expanded with the feature as you're describing, tap the notification to display the pass directly.
What is the mechanism that you're referring to that became available from Android 12?
