shift+click selects all *contiguous* layers/segments/whatever

right now it selects multiple, but typically the shortcut for this is cmd+click

I'd like to be able to select multiple split segments in a line without needing to click on each individual section with shift, like selecting a range (for example, to change text alignment or presence for a number of sections at once)
I'd also like to be able to select multiple layers without clicking individual lines (again, like a range), or at least have a select all option
