There are plenty of themes to look at and choose from: http://pelican-themes-gallery.place.org/

For my own website (https://sleepmap.de) I used this one: https://github.com/getpelican/pelican-themes/tree/master/notmyidea-cms
Since then I heavily modified it though ;-)
