Gtk4 Applications Use Adwaita Dark Instead of Mint-Y-Dark

When launching a non-libadwaita GTK 4 application (i. e. GNOME Boxes) with the normal Mint GTK theme, the application is styled correctly. However, when launching with the dark variant, the application just uses the adwaita-dark theme.
Tested on XFCE on Fedora 38
