Bug description

Whenever copying or moving an image from a Linux ext4 system to an NTFS drive with Bitlocker encryption, all image formats fail to display, with the reason being listed as an "unrecognized image file format." Unmounting the drive and then remounting it seems to fix this issue. This issue does not affect video formats or any other file type that I've tested.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Copy an image from a separate device onto a Bitlocker protected NTFS partition.
  2. Attempt to open the image before unmounting the device.

Expected behavior

Remounting the partition should not be required to view images

Additional information

It seems like you have to keep the device mounted for a while before the issue starts happening. When trying to capture an example image after remounting, I have been unable to reproduce the issue for the past 10 minutes

Captured an example of what this looks like upon opening an image. Drive was unlocked for at least 4 hours, though I'd need to do some more testing to determine when the issue starts happening
