Issue
Xed opens 90 python script files with ease, almost simulatenously. But it lacks the search, replace, and save all open files feature. Only one file at a time.

I come from Windows where I was using very powerfull Notepad++ that itself is great and with plugins even better.
I managed to replace most of other Windows programs and settings - except daily used text editor which is my main tool with 20+ always open files plus others..
None in Linux is great, most are advertised as lightweight - none I saw has "search in open files" and "search in selection"!
(only abandoned notepadqq).
And I wonder why so many are not very different and powerful, why are they started if they will remain one of multiple.
So yes, this is important and should be a priority - if there is xed development...

Looking around, I see old https://code.google.com/archive/p/advanced-find/ and newer but not maintained https://github.com/oliver/gedit-file-search.
@clefebvre can you please comment on this, is there a chance, of course taking into account all other huge work in Mint.
We would be lucky if @tudo75 would port it..
