How to update in Mint 21?

This is a question.
I am with Mint 21.1, xed 3.2.8.
Will new version that I see as 3.4.3 be available in Mint 21 or we need to install it?
f so, is xed PPA an option? I rely on PPA for all other software and do not normally chech here for xed version.
(I saw some old PPAs having xed but none is current)

So you like higher version numbers?, that's the only difference.

I was hoping that there is and will be some development here... disappointed when looked at commits.
