Planet Mode Crash Loop?

Opened this issue · 7 comments

I encountered a game crash when trying to switch from serpulo to erekir version of the mod. However, I can't switch back to serpulo without having the mod open, so I can no longer download the mod. Is there a configuration file where I can manually change it back? Additionally, why not have both the serpulo and erekir content loaded simultaneously?

Sorry for late, I plan to fix it.

If it's possible to access and edit it, Where in its files does the mod save which version to load? If I can manually change it back to serpulo, I might be able to crudely and temporarily fix the issue.

CyberIO uses the built-in settings system with the key, "cyber-io-content-specific".

There are two available values, "vanilla" and "erekir".

I don't understand.

Your links seem to lead to what happens after the variable is read. Since I don't mod mindustry, I haven't heard of this built in settings system before. Do i need to modify R, Settings, or ContentSpec?

Managed to fix it by loading the game with 141 version: https://github.com/Anuken/Mindustry/releases/tag/v141

Backup your saves and move them to %appdata%/Mindustry, then switch back to serpulo, then move saves back into the original directory

why not have both the serpulo and erekir content loaded simultaneously? sounds resonable.
The reason I'm letting the player switch specific content is because I do intend to make this mod more hacky.

However, it also brought up a bunch of issues that I had to fix.
Therefore, I plan to separate Serpulo and Erekir content in the Cyber IO v6.
