Unable to open external hyperlinks

Could you please advise how to open external hyperlink from visual?
there is a feature announced by Microsoft to open external hyperlinks:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/visuals/launch-url
but It is not working inside this visual.
