On macOS, does ioreg -p IOUSB -n Switch print the device's properties? Confirmation is adequate.

Are you able to collect a Wireshark capture of the USB traffic between host and device? If so, please provide the window around the point of physical connection, removed of any extraneous traffic.

Hi,
i've tried the current version of "android transfer utility" with the current version of nxmtp and transferred some files without a problem.

I use a MacBook Pro early 2016 with a Nintendo USB-A to USB-C cable (the one delivered with pro controller).

the steps i take:

  1. I connect the switch to my MacBook
  2. started nxmtp on my switch
  3. my macbook recognize the connected switch and automatically start "android transfer utility"
  4. i can transfer the files or delete any folder

so from my side, I can't report anything negative.

Works fine for me. I got up to 10 MiB/s transfer speeds. I don't have a very good SD card, so that was expected.

MacOS + Android File Transfer -> USB-C -> USB-A -> USB-C -> SWITCH
auto work very cool !!!

MacOS + Android File Transfer -> USB-C -> USB-C -> SWITCH
Works some times, after a while it stops recognising the switch, tried a reboot to the console, didn't help really... Can't find any rules to when it works or not.

Found it only works when run from applet, not when run as app.
