in file rbm_chords.py
songs = get_songs('Pop_Music_Midi') #These songs have already been converted from midi to msgpack

How to convert midi to msgpack please?

Hi,

I don't have an issue converting midi to msgpack, although I would like to know why exactly are we performing this?

I'm still learning and just wanted to know about this step.
