The SPIFFE/SPIRE project can provide JWT's automatically to workloads and keep them up to date. It looks like Kafka supports JWT's these days. (At least Kafka's deployed with Strimzi). We would like to configure Logstash to send to Kafka where connections are validated via JWT's generated by SPIRE.
