Upgrade path to API v 4.0?

Closed this issue · 4 comments

Hey Gzrinos,

It looks like you updated gzr recently to force using the Looker API v 3.1 so that "space" is still a meaningful thing. I upgraded our gzr and things are still working.

I am wondering if you have a plan to migrate "space" commands to "folder" commands to use the 4.0 API? And what that might Look like?

Thanks for your awesome work!

Hey @cjyoos,

We'll probably add "folder" commands as an alias for "space", but I see no reason to remove "space" and break existing deployments :-)

We don't yet have plans to upgrade all gazer calls to API 4.0. Although 3.1 is now legacy, Looker won't be dropping support for it in the foreseeable future.

We are facing same issue now while we are trying to run gzr import command, we are using gzr version 0.2.44 and looker version is 22.4
, thanks

@chaitanyavarman if you are encountering errors, please upgrade to the latest version of gzr. The issue should be fixed by this recent PR: #125

@chaitanyavarman please let us know if you're still able to replicate after upgrading to gzr v0.2.54; otherwise, this issue will be closed in 3 business days.
