#130 when i am searching fix for this issue i saw this announcement. Do u have any plan or work to change android-sdk ?

u can access the announcement via this link : https://github.com/spotify/android-streaming-sdk

and i am struggling with this issue #130 cloud find any solution?

Thanks in advence.

I haven't had a chance to fix that issue, but I'm also not really using the library anymore so I don't have a lot of time to update it.

Also, I saw the announcement and I plan to point the project to the forks that I've made when I get the chance. There's already another project react-native-spotify-remote that uses the new SDK and I don't feel like completely reworking mine.

thanks for reply

Hello, if we are targeting both android and ios development with this library, should we consider migrating to another project?

As I mentioned, there's already another project react-native-spotify-remote that uses the new library.

Got it, the linked project doesn't appear to officially support android. Additionally it appears to be in the infant stages.

Thanks for the hard work you've done.

Luis, it'd be highly appreciated if the new Spotify SDK would find its way into this project here as many apps have this library integrated and rely on its functionality. The Spotify announcement is a pretty harsh move actually. I have no overview of what needs to be done though.

There is currently no other proper react-native implementation of Spotify than yours. This is the go-to repo for all things Spotify and RN.

If your project here doesn't get update in time many apps will stop working - probably resulting in problems with users who use these apps ;(

I'd be amazing if you could help us out here - yours is one of the coolest and most useful RN packages I use! Thanking in advance!

@sgeier apologies for not responding to this sooner. I'm glad you all find this library so useful! I wish I had more time to maintain it and add the remote SDK features but I barely have much free time as it is. It looks like the remote SDK repo I linked is making a lot of progress though so hopefully it will be viable for you soon!
