Hidden Pagination if limit hasnt been reached

Hi there,
I might be missing something but I couldn't see if there was a way for the pagination to be hidden until the page has reached the limit. i.e if you're paginating reviews and there have been 3 so far and you've set the limit per page to 5 the pagination navigation should not appear, once its passed 5 and a second page is necessary then the pagination navigation should appear. Is this an option.
