No matter what param I run status, enable, disable, no param.

Inconsistent status! /boot/cmdline.txt is enabled, but /etc/inittab is disabled

I uncommented this line in my inittab file. Ran sudo rpi-serial-console enable and it responded "Serial console is already enabled".
