It's weird how you "buy" a door, bolts are magically taken from you and now you own it. Can't we think of an in-universe reason/mechanic that could explain this?
For example instead of buying doors with F2 "magically", you would buy 'locking devices' from The Business. You can then mount that on a door to restrict access to those you want. It feels a bit more in-universe to me.
- You can't buy doors as a new player (since you don't have the bolts)
- Give the player one free door locking device?
- Add door locking device (I repurposed the Door Protector, since the name seems fitting)
- Create a nice model for the door locking device that can go through the door handle on both sides of the door (to indicate it's taken)
- Create a lightning bolt symbol to mark which doors can have a door protector attached to them. The Door Protector requiring power and only some doors having that provides an in-game reason why some doors are not ownable.

Yes I agree with buying some sort of locking device. It is more realistic. All the doors dont lock, unless you buy / craft a lock and give acces.
