DNSChange using internal DNS

I host my own Hudu server and DNS on my LAN, where several of my domains are hosted. I ran the script after configuring it and see that the internal resources are showing their internal IP addresses and no MX or TXT records. Is there a way to force the lookup to use an external DNS server (e.g. Google's)?
