Delete old tarballs on downloads page?

Hmm, I'm personally against that, we need to keep those indexed and reasonably easy to find, if only for GPL compliance.
In theory we could put them into a folded section on the page or something, but then we'd need to know which are still supported and which aren't, so can get a bit tricky.
