Are there any limits?

As I understand it, these games are typically played using common English language words. Occasionally there will be a word that has clear foreign origins but has become commonplace enough in lexicon as to be accepted as English.

But, what the fuq is LAITY? I've never heard that word, used that word or seen it written in any text. I did look it up and it is valid but not even close to be considered common. I've been playing this game daily since January 2022 and I've yet to see a word that I didn't know until now.
