City selection

As I plan to add more cities to Ubähnchen, wonder how the UX should be.
Landing screen
I wonder if the first page the user sees should be a city selection or the Berlin U-Bahn. I think I prefer showing Berlin first so users immediately see the fun part of the website, but maybe it will be hard to make it visible that other cities are selectable?

Here are a few ideas...
Copy Minimetro
Map of Europe (or the world, later)
A map in which the user can see available cities and can click on them to see the transport system
Other
Do you have better ideas?
First Draft (Mobile)
The Berlin Map should be the start screen. If you click the title, you can choose different cities on cards. Navigation between cards by swiping or clicking the arrows.
After a quick analysis I reorganized the information architecture. The most used actions (like setting the speed) are prominent. Others (like the about or stats page) are hidden in the settings page. One thing I didn't consider yet is the time selection, but it would open after clicking the timestamp pill.
What do you think?
Hey @Niksda!
Thanks a ton for making this! I will use your ideas for sure!
I'm still working on trying to add new cities, but I'm a bit swamped so that will take me several months. Maybe I'll take a break from that task, and apply your other suggestions. I'll keep you posted here.
For context:
At the moment, it takes some manual effort to convert the VBB's weekly data update into the animated map. I'm trying to automatize all this process, so the map can become up to date automatically. This will also make it much easier to add new cities.
