doom mode-line height seems not right

Using emax64 26.2 (a version build for windows)

I believe libXmp-noX4.dll is missing in emax64 package. Maybe more other libs are missing as well. Copy dll libs and the issue disappears.

In my tests, even the about buffer was unable to be opened.

Right! typo. You need to check other libs.

The DLL was indeed missed by the automated build process. It will be included in the next release.
