Reverse chainage option greyed out

qchainage reverse chainage and selected feature only is greyed out, although option is very important step when calculating the chainage .kindly advise .

have you selected features before using the tool?
At least the selected features only option should be ok when you already have some features selected.
But as stated in other replies already, unfortunately I have to rewrite the whole plugin anyway but currently my time is very limited and therefor any pull request is more than welcome fixing issues.

obviously the feature is selected otherwise qchainage feature wont work.
