📁 The Project
I am working on creating a directory of people and projects so that contributors to Wikimedia projects can stay connected online, after they meet at in-person in events.

🎯 The goal
The goal of having people connected, for example, after a hackathon, is to help newcomers continue to learn and develop their skills, and feel supported as contributors.

🦆 Current prototype
I currently have a prototype of the directory, which you can find here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Connect

At the moment, adding a group or adding a new individual requires people to read documentation, and use a template.

🕊 The solution
Creating a form will not only remove this step, but also enable adding categories to userpages. This feature would help newcomers find the experienced contributors they need to connect with in a much easier and faster way.
