I would like all md-files to be consistently formatted.

A CI pipeline via github actions using https://github.com/executablebooks/mdformat
Describe alternatives you've considered
Prettier.

https://github.com/executablebooks/mdformat is not mature enough to be deployed yet. (YAML frontmatter and LaTeX commands are not escaped properly.)
