Unable to apply custom editor area theme

Thank you for continuing to maintain this project.

I am trying to use a custom edit area theme but the changes don't seem to be getting applied. Would appreciate if you could provide instructions on how to do so.

Here is what I have already tried:

As you can see in the above screenshot I have added my custom edit area theme in the appropriate textbox provided to input it and saved it.
I tried refreshing the page but the theme remained the same

I also tried to change the theme from the edit area theme picker as you can see in the below screenshot but that did not work.
