I haven't had time to sit down and write a proper license, but it's kind of similar to Creative Commons BY-NC-SA (not for commercial uses, give credit, remix under the same license).
The only thing I request is that if you use sprites or artwork of named characters, that you modify them in some way (because the game is not released yet and if someone releases a game with the same characters, earlier, I'll be the one accused of being a copycat), everything else is freely usable as-is within the conditions of the CC license specified above.
