Errors out and partial import failure when a Proxy is used

Extensive error message and failure to import proxy/topology.

Steps to reproduce:
Works -> Import a model that does not have a topology with default settings, watch is work properly.

Broken -> Import the same model, but with a topology this time. see the error messages and failure to import topology, but the rest seems to import successfully.

Well, i have no idea what has changed, but it is working fine now. no updates or settings changed that i am aware of. just no more errors, and the proxy imports properly.
seriously. i made sure i was able to consistently reproduce the problem before i opened the issue.
my apologies for any time you may have wasted trying to reproduce this phantom issue.
