The repo is missing a license, which makes it technically a closed sourced, even though I believe it is intended to be open source. I suggest adding an MIT license

Not quite closed, only in the sense that nobody is allowed to copy or modify it. It's publicly read-only.
Although, it's a bit more complicated: The author has implicitly granted permission to GH, to distribute the source-code under the author's name. This could mean that everyone else is allowed to do the same.
I would suggest a license that forbids commercial use (MIT allows it)
