Option to ignore URL parameters or query strings

The extension is very specific about the URLs, so any changes in the URL parameters are considered a different page. It would be convenient to have the option of ignoring everything from the "?" or "#" onward when differentiating between saved URLs. For example, domain.com/page, domain.com/page?this=1, domain.com?this=2, domain.com?this=1&that=whatever etc. could all have the same note. This could also be more customizable by allowing the user to decide where in the string to start ignoring.
