Altitude calculation is not correct for hiking routes

Only tested for hiking routes:
When creating a route altitude profile is shown and looks legit, but altitude differences are not summarized correctly. Would love to help resolving this issue!

Example:
calculated difference: 907m, in reality something around 1400m is more likely
