Modern Opera extension

I was wondering if there will be a "native" extension available for Opera that runs on newer versions of Opera that runs on Blink? I know I can use the Chrome extension toolkit to make it install and run, but it often seems to "lag" out, or functionality seems to be very random loading and instead of reporting that as an issue, I was hoping a native extension could be made available.

Sadly I personally do not have any experience in such developments, else I would have put a PR myself =(
