Open a note ALONGSIDE projects tab (rather than in place of projects tab)

What would you like to be added?
I use projects a lot ( Thanks Marcus ) and sometimes its to find and open a note. When I click on the hot link of a note it opens in place, replacing the projects tab.... it would be much better if it opened the note "to the right" of the projects tab so I can still see my list of notes and not have to reopen projects.
Why is this needed?
to save time when I want a number of notes opened from projects or when I have selected a note in error and want to make a further selection.
