Projects are not syncing between my devices

What happened?
I just started using the Projects plugin and have the following devices that I use regularly
- Linux desktop
- Windows Desktop
- Windows laptop
- Android Phone
I have obsidian sync and have not really had any issues with previous plugins.
I created a new project on my Linux desktop based on a folder with existing notes that I used to track various work items. I wanted to organize the work items in this folder in a Board. I set everything up and didn't think anything of it. When i logged into my Windows laptop the next day I could no longer see the project that I created the night before, but the notes that i had created that night had successfully synced to my windows laptop. this lead me to believe that there is an issue with the Projects plugin. I also confirmed that sync is setup correctly to track my plugins:
I created additional test projects on the rest of my devices and none of them carried over to my other devices.
What did you expect to happen?
Projects to be synced between my devices
How can we reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)?
Make a project on device 1 and try to open that project on device 2
Anything else we need to know?

Hi please check my reply here, quoted form #696 (comment)
The plugin saves the projects information in the data.json file, which is located within the config folder (typically .obsidian and depending on your Obsidian preferences). If your sync service is set to exclude the config folder, the project data will not be synchronized. Would setting up rules within your sync service to allow this specific file be of help?
Some problem here. As the screenshot above shows: all settings are "on". So what else can/should one do für syncing the .obsidian-folder? - We use obsidian-sync...
Same behavior here. Unable to have this sync automatically with Obsidian Sync
