Is it possible to add /gif-support also in chats with people and not only in rooms?

Not at the moment :(

The Hipchat API only supports webhooks for group chats. There is an issue to change that here, which people can vote for http://help.hipchat.com/forums/138883-suggestions-ideas/suggestions/5532457-webhook-for-private-message

I would definitely love to add it if the support is ever there though. Glad you're enjoying it!
